Hi, we are Ed and Kay Brown located in west central Illinois.
We have over 20 years experience with the Yorkshire breed.
All of our puppies are raised in our home kennel with alot
of attention and care. We feel that a puppy that is handled on a
daily basis and allowed the freedom to move around, will make
a better pet for you and your family when you take them home.
If at all possible we like to meet our customers in advance,
before they are allowed to purchase a puppy from us. We also
know that in some cases that this is not practical and we rely
on our phone conversations to place our puppies.
These dogs are very special to us and we are carefull that
they are only going to the best of homes and owners.
We reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone.
We allow our puppies to leave our home no earlier than 8 weeks of age,
but the new owner must have them picked up by the age of 10 weeks.
When you recieve your new pet, it will be current on its puppy shots,
due claws removed, tails docked and will have been recently vet checked.
We guarantee that the health of the puppy is excellent to the best of
our, and our vets knowledge, and it will have been examined by our vet,
no more than three days prior to you picking them up. You will
be given a written record from our vet of the puppies vaccinations,
wormings and examination dates to take with you.
The buyer has 72 hours to have the puppy examined by their licensed
vet if they choose to do so. For your peace of mind in having a second
opinion, we recommend that you do this, but that examination is at
the buyers expense. If your vet finds any health issue with the puppy
that would make it unfit for sale, you may return it for a full refund
of the purchase price during that 72 hour period. After that 72 hour
period all expenses and responsibilty is that of the buyer. Any injury
sustained to the puppy after leaving our possession does not qualify
for that 72 hr. guarantee. We guarantee the puppy against life-threatening
hereditary/congental defects for a period of 3 months. In the event of a genetic
health disorder that claims the life of the puppy during this 3 month period
we will replace the puppy (no cash refund) with a puppy of equal value
from the next avaialbe litter. Request for a replacement must be accompanied
by verification of death from a qualified licensed veterinarian.
A written contract outlining these agreements will be signed
and dated by both seller and buyer the day puppy is picked up.
UPDATE: We no longer offer a shipping policy.
All puppies must be pickedup at our home kennel.
These puppies are just to small at the age of 8 weeks
to be placed on an airplane alone, so in the best interest
and health of the puppies, shipping will no longer be offered.
Please, do not ask!
If you decide to purchase one of our newborn yorkies, a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is required for us to hold that puppy for you.
This deposit is applied to the purchase price of your puppy.
If you live in the local area we encourage you to stop in
and spend time with your new pet before taking them home
at the age of 8 weeks. This will allow them to feel more
comfortable with you and will insure you a
happier pet when you get them home.
